Reading the calendar
Yahrzeit
The anniversary of a person’s death, observed according to the Hebrew calendar. The dates beneath each name give the original date of death.
Parsha & haftarah
The parsha is the weekly Torah portion; the haftarah is a reading from the Prophets. This calendar follows the Diaspora schedule, used outside Israel, and the Ashkenazi haftarah, with Sephardic differences noted where available.
